Stand with Saskatchewan Healthcare Providers

Urge the Government to Stop Stalling and Deliver a Fair Deal

Every day, dedicated CUPE health care staff work to ensure hospital patients, long-term care residents, and home care clients are well-cared for. We take immense pride in our work and are dedicated to the communities where we work, live and play.

But we aren’t being cared for by our government. Once called healthcare heroes, now, the government and our employer are proposing changes to our collective agreement that will worsen our working conditions. We’re fighting the government’s plans to erode workplace protections, standardize contracts with the worst terms, and to make it easier to contract out and privatize health care. These concessions will weaken our health system and make it harder to retain health workers.

This means we may not be able to deliver the quality care you and your family count on. We need your help to demand a fair deal at the bargaining table that will support CUPE health workers and keep them in the jobs they love.

Sign the letter now and join us in urging our leaders to negotiate in good faith and deliver a fair deal. Show your support and make your voice heard!

This stalling at the bargaining table is unacceptable. I’ve worked over 20 years in health care and I’m sick and tired of being treated like garbage. Supposed hero’s when working through the pandemic. It’s time to show it. Our wage is disgusting for the work we do. The government changes have made it so that no one wants to work in long term care. Start talking to the people that do the work and pay us what we are worth. Some of you have no clue what we put up with on a daily basis in long term care and you wonder why there are staffing issues
